I-66 MOT Plan Phase II
I-66 Outside the Beltway
SUMMARY
6 affected lanes 1 miles of MOT Plan 2 Complex ramps in MOT Plan Area
The I-66 Outside the Beltway is a project that is helping transform this critical Northern Virginia artery to relieve congestion, improve safety and provide more predictable travel times.
I-66 is being expanded – from the Capital Beltway (I-495) to Gainesville (US Route 29) – to include three toll free general purpose lanes and two Express Lanes in each direction with a state-of-the-art open-road electronic toll collection system.
As part of the construction phases, FAM asked AZIERTA for a MOT Plan to take place in Segment 3A.
The project consisted in the review and preparation of a MOT Plan. Azierta generated several FDC drawings and plans in order to achieve the desired phase for the MOT Plan needed.
